Born at a
Tuscan Table

Isabelle Marchetti grew up in a household where Sunday lunch lasted four hours and every dish carried a story. Trained as a sommelier in Lyon and later as a food anthropologist at SOAS London, she spent a decade documenting culinary traditions across three continents before founding Saffron & Co. in 2018.

Her vision was simple but radical: to treat food curation with the same rigour and artistry as a museum curator treats art. Every private dinner, every meal kit, every travel itinerary she designs carries the weight of deep research, personal relationships with producers, and an almost obsessive commitment to the sensory experience.

2018

Founded in London

Saffron & Co. began as a series of intimate supper clubs hosted in Isabelle's Notting Hill flat.

2019

First Chef Partnership

Collaboration with Michelin-starred chef Adrien Leclaire for a 12-course harvest dinner series.

2020

Luxury Meal Kit Launch

Pivoted to at-home experiences during lockdown — the Saffron Kit sold out within 48 hours of launch.

2021

Expanded to New York

Opened a Manhattan studio and launched the first US private dining season with 40 events.

2023

Food Travel Programme

Launched curated itineraries across Tuscany, Kyoto, and Marrakech — 18 countries in year one.

The Saffron Foundation
